Design Engineer – Structural Steel

Design & Engineering
Perform detailed structural analysis and design of steel structures for metro rail systems.
Prepare detailed design calculations, drawings, and specifications for steel components.
Design steel frameworks for stations, canopies, footbridges, and support structures.
Ensure designs comply with relevant codes (IRC, IRS, IS, AISC, AASHTO, Eurocode and international standards.)
Perform seismic and wind load analysis for steel structures in urban environments.

Project Coordination
Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and electrical teams for integrated structural solutions.
Provide technical support during construction phase.

Quality & Compliance
Ensure designs meet safety, reliability, and durability requirements for public infrastructure.
Ensure designs consider maintainability and lifecycle costs.




Prepare technical documentation and compliance reports.

Technical Skills
Proficiency in structural analysis software (MIDAS, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, or similar)
Solid knowledge of steel design software
Experience with BIM software (Revit, Tekla Structures)

Soft Skills
Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication skills for multidisciplinary coordination
Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Leadership capabilities for mentoring junior engineers.

Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in field of steel structural design pertaining to metro projects.
