Key Responsibilities
Teach Mathematics to students of Grades V–VIII following the CBSE curriculum.
Prepare annual, monthly, weekly, and daily lesson plans aligned with learning outcomes.
Deliver engaging, activity-based, inquiry-driven, and competency-focused lessons.
Promote conceptual understanding, logical reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and learning styles.
Conduct formative and summative assessments and maintain accurate academic records.
Analyze student performance and implement remedial and enrichment programmes.
Integrate ICT tools, digital platforms, and smart classroom resources into teaching.
Develop worksheets, question papers, assignments, projects, and competency-based assessments.
Prepare students for Olympiads, mathematics competitions, quizzes, exhibitions, and other enrichment activities.
Foster mathematical curiosity through hands-on activities, puzzles, games, and real-life applications.
Maintain discipline and create a positive, inclusive, and protected classroom environment.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and learning goals.
Participate in Parent–Teacher Meetings, school events, assemblies,
and co-curricular programmes.
Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum planning and interdisciplinary projects.
Participate in CBSE Capacity Building Programmes and continuous professional development. (The Times of India)
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
B.Ed. from a recognized institution (mandatory).
Master's Degree in Mathematics is preferred.
Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school, preferably handling Grades V–VIII.
Strong knowledge of the CBSE curriculum, competency-based education, and NEP 2020.
Excellent English communication and classroom management skills.
