1.Carry out computational research to develop process simulation and control models for iron making process
Perform heat and material balance calculations for the ironmaking process to assess key performance indicators (KPIs) and energy requirements
Performing plant trials to generate data, demonstrate research findings etc
Perform metallurgical process simulations across multiple unit operations and reactors
Carry out high temperature experiments to validate process models and evaluate to key performance indicators (KPIs) for ironmaking process
Apply knowledge in metallurgy to build high temperature lab scale/pilot scale experimental setup, specific to slag property measurements
Perform data-based process modelling of ironmaking operations to quantify and evaluate KPIs.
Initiate and drive current research projects of R&D;
Develop ideas and concepts to mature technologies to a certain readiness level
Deliver on technical projects by planning and executing different tasks by leveraging technical skills and implement recent product design/process concept in plants
Contribute in multi-disciplinary discussion to enable team for future advancements
Takes part in managing different research labs, resources, procurement and safet
Skills
CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and process calculations in Iron making area.

M. Tech in Mechanical/Metallurgy/ Chemical/Energy with 3 years experience or PhD with experience in iron making area
