About the Role

As a Territory Sales Manager (TSM) at PhonePe, you will be responsible for driving merchant acquisition, sales, and servicing within your assigned geographical area. You will lead a team of 10–15 Business Development Executives/Associates to expand PhonePe’s presence in offline markets across urban and rural areas. This role directly contributes to increasing PhonePe’s market share across multiple product lines, including devices, financial services, and revenue-generating instruments.

Key Responsibilities
Drive acceptance of PhonePe’s products and services among offline merchants.
Lead and manage a team of 10–15 Business Development Executives/Associates.
Achieve sales and revenue targets across product lines.
Ensure merchant acquisition, sales growth, and after-sales servicing.




Monitor performance metrics and implement strategies to achieve business goals.
Support distributor management and expansion initiatives.
Report to the Area Sales Manager with regular updates on progress and challenges.

Preferred Candidate Profile
Education: Graduate (Full-time, MBA preferred).
Experience:
2–4 years of proven sales experience.
Prior experience in managing sales teams (on-roll/off-roll).
Telecom, FMCG, or Retail sector experience strongly preferred (B2C focus).
Skills & Attributes:
Robust interpersonal and communication skills.
Field sales experience with a proven track record of increasing sales/revenue.
Distributor management experience (preferred).
Exposure to start-up environment (preferred).
Solid problem-solving abilities and results orientation.
Ethical and customer-focused approach.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
