Job Title: VMC Operator cum Programmer

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled VMC Operator cum Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines to produce high-quality components with precision and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Set up VMC machines by installing and aligning cutting tools, fixtures, and workpieces as per job specifications
Develop and modify CNC programs using CAM software to ensure accurate machining operations
Operate VMC machines to perform milling, drilling, tapping, and related processes with tight tolerances
Monitor machine performance, identify issues, and carry out troubleshooting to minimize downtime
Make necessary program and tooling adjustments to maintain quality and productivity
Perform routine preventive maintenance including cleaning, lubrication, and replacement of worn components
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and gauges
Ensure all components meet quality standards and technical drawings
Maintain proper documentation of production and inspection reports
Follow workplace safety guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs)





Required Qualifications
Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering or related field
2–5 years of experience as a VMC Operator and Programmer
Hands-on experience with CNC/VMC machines and CAM software
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T;

Key Skills
CNC programming (G-code / M-code)
VMC machine setup and operation
Tooling knowledge and fixture setup
Precision measurement and quality inspection
Troubleshooting and problem-solving
Attention to detail and process discipline

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in sheet metal or precision machining industry
Familiarity with Fanuc/Siemens controllers
Knowledge of basic PLC and machine maintenance

Work Environment
Manufacturing/shop floor setting
Exposure to machinery, noise, and metalworking processes
