Our client, a large, well-established manufacturing plant near Visakhapatnam, is hiring an AGM - Finance | CapEx Accounting and Asset Management to take financial ownership of major capital investments and strengthen CapEx governance, asset integrity and management reporting.
This is not a routine fixed-assets accounting role.

The successful candidate will oversee CapEx investments exceeding Rs 100 crore , working closely with Projects, Procurement, Shared Services and other cross-functional teams.

Location: Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh
Experience: Approximately 6 to 8 years of relevant experience
Qualification: CA, CMA or MBA Finance
Core expertise: CapEx accounting, project accounting, fixed assets and financial controls

What the role owns

Preparing and monitoring the annual CapEx budget.
Evaluating Capital Expenditure Proposals within defined timelines.
Monitoring CapEx commitments, commercial negotiations and Bank Guarantee validation.
Reviewing CWIP balances and driving timely project closure and asset capitalisation.
Ensuring the accuracy, completeness and integrity of fixed-asset records.
Coordinating physical verification and reconciliation of assets.
Monitoring Mega Risk Insurance and EAR Cum Storage policies for major projects.
Supporting post-CapEx evaluation and project financial monitoring.
Strengthening accounting controls,



statutory compliance and audit readiness.
Preparing inputs for the CFO and other senior management reviews.
Visiting project sites periodically to assess project status and financial progress.

What we are looking for

Approximately 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in CapEx accounting, project accounting, fixed assets or financial controls.
Strong working knowledge of CapEx and asset accounting.
Hands-on experience with SAP, financial reporting, MIS, audit and internal controls.
Experience managing multiple high-value projects within demanding timelines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
Confidence to question delays, identify financial risks and drive matters to closure.
Strong stakeholder-management skills across Finance, Projects, Procurement and Shared Services.
Willingness to work on-site in Visakhapatnam and visit project locations when required.
