Job Description Senior Procurement Contract Manager (C2)

Role purpose

Manage a more complex contract portfolio and help standardise how the team works. The role combines ownership of tougher negotiations and escalations with mentoring and continuous improvement of processes and knowledge assets.

- Portfolio is managed consistently with strong control of risk, compliance and documentation quality.
- Complex negotiations and escalations are resolved effectively without damaging business relationships.
- The team benefits from clear templates, checklists and playbooks, reducing errors and cycle time.
- Knowledge is captured and shared, improving onboarding and predictability of delivery.
- Dashboards and reporting meet real decision needs of stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

- Lead medium-to-high complexity negotiations, including non-standard clauses within acceptable governance.
- Coordinate escalations (delays, disputes, non-compliance) and propose solutions with stakeholders.
- Identify recurring risk and deviation patterns and propose corrective actions or guidance.
- Shape governance discussions by framing issues, options and recommendations.
- Develop and maintain templates, checklists, working instructions and training materials.
- Act as a subjectmatter reference for defined contract or clause areas.
- Review and qualityassure team contract outputs for consistency and risk alignment.




- Mentor less experienced team members through reviews, guidance and knowledge transfer.
- Co-lead improvement initiatives (tools, reporting, data quality, standards) and support adoption.

Required experience

Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience, including ownership of complex negotiations and cross-functional escalations. Experience in mentoring/leading a workstream and standardising processes is an advantage.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
