Senior Purchase Consultant / Purchase Head Company: Indobell Insulations Limited Location: Kolkata, West Bengal Department: Purchase & Procurement Employment Type: Consultant / Part time / Full-Time Based on mutual discussion Experience: 20+ years of relevant experience preferred Key Responsibilities Take overall responsibility for the Purchase & Procurement function. Review and streamline the Company's existing purchasing procedures and practices. Identify, evaluate and develop reliable vendors and suppliers. Obtain and compare quotations and negotiate competitive prices, payment terms and delivery schedules. Develop and maintain a strong vendor database. Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, consumables, engineering items, machinery, tools and other requirements. Coordinate with the Production, Projects, Engineering, Accounts and Management teams to understand purchase requirements. Review Purchase Requisitions and ensure purchases are made in accordance with approved requirements. Negotiate with existing and new suppliers to achieve cost savings without compromising quality. Develop alternate sources for critical materials and reduce dependency on single vendors. Monitor supplier performance relating to quality, price, delivery and service. Assist in finalizing long-term/annual rate contracts wherever beneficial. Review existing purchase rates and identify opportunities for cost reduction. Ensure proper documentation of quotations, comparative statements, Purchase Orders and vendor records. Establish appropriate approval and procurement controls. Coordinate with Accounts regarding payment terms, outstanding vendor payments and commercial issues. Provide regular updates to management regarding pending purchases, critical requirements,



cost savings and vendor performance. Identify opportunities to improve the Company's overall procurement process. Preferred Background The candidate should ideally have: 20+ years of experience in Purchase, Procurement, Materials Management or Supply Chain. Prior experience as Purchase Head, Procurement Head, Materials Manager, Senior Purchase Manager or similar position. Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, infrastructure, power, industrial or project-based organization will be preferred. Strong knowledge of vendor development and supplier negotiations. Good understanding of commercial terms, payment terms and Purchase Orders. Strong network of established vendors/suppli ers will be an added advantage. Experience in handling both routine and critical procurement requirements. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Ability to independently review and improve an existing purchasing system. Engagement The engagement can be structured as: Full-time Part-time Consultancy Retainer-based engagement The exact arrangement can be discussed based on the candidate's availability, experience and expectations. Commercials: Monthly Consultancy/Retainer Fee: 25,00040,000 per month, depending on the candidates experience, expertise, availability, and scope of responsibilities
