Position: Tender & Contract Engineer

Department: Contracts / Commercial / Estimation

Experience: 2-5 years

Job Responsibilities

- Prepare, review, and submit tenders and quotations as per client requirements and tender conditions.
- Study tender documents, BOQ, specifications, drawings, scope of work, and contract conditions.
- Handle tender filing, documentation, EMD, technical/commercial submissions, and other required tender formalities.
- Prepare rate analysis for civil/construction works based on material, labour, equipment, overheads, wastage, and applicable market rates.
- Collect and compare vendor/subcontractor quotations and negotiate rates where required.
- Prepare detailed BOQ, estimates, comparative statements, and cost calculations.
- Verify site measurements against drawings, BOQ, and actual executed work.
- Check and certify measurement sheets / measurement books (MB) and support preparation of RA bills.
- Coordinate with site engineers, consultants, clients, vendors, and subcontractors regarding measurements and quantities.
- Monitor contract terms, variation orders, extra items, deviations, and rate approvals.
- Prepare and maintain records for work orders, purchase orders, contracts, bills, amendments, and correspondence.




- Assist in contract administration, billing, reconciliation, and final account settlement.
- Identify discrepancies in quantities, rates, specifications, and contractual requirements and report them to management.
- Maintain proper documentation and records for audits and future reference.
- Ensure tender submissions are accurate and completed within the prescribed deadlines.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of tendering and contract management.
- Robust understanding of BOQ, quantity estimation, measurements, and rate analysis.
- Knowledge of civil/construction work, drawings, specifications, and methods of measurement.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and AutoCAD.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and tender documents.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Good communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tenders/projects.
