Required Qualifications

Experience

- 8+ years of SQL Server DBA experience in enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated experience administering SQL Server 2005 through SQL Server 2025.
- Experience supporting mission-critical production databases.
- Experience working in a 24x7 support environment.

Technical Skills

- Strong SQL Server installation, configuration, and administration experience.
- Advanced T-SQL development and troubleshooting skills.
- Robust understanding of:
- SQL Server Internals
- Query Optimization
- Indexing Strategies
- Statistical Analysis
- Execution Plans
- Database Architecture

- Experience with Ola Hallengren maintenance solutions.
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills.




- Experience with Windows Server administration.
- Experience with SQL Server migrations and upgrades.

Backup and Recovery

- Strong knowledge of:
- Backup and Restore Strategies
- Point-in-Time Recovery
- Disaster Recovery Planning
- Business Continuity Processes

Monitoring Tools

Experience with one or more:

- SolarWinds DPA
- SentryOne
- Native SQL Server Monitoring Tools

Security

- Strong understanding of:
- SQL Server Security
- Encryption
- Service Accounts
- Role-Based Access Control
- Auditing and Compliance Requirements
