About the Role

Quell Soft is a US-focused technology and software services company with operations in India, supporting technology and engineering initiatives for international clients. This role provides an opportunity to work on a US-based Financial Services / Capital Markets technology project, collaborating with international technology and QA teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts using TestComplete and Python.
- Convert manual/functional test scenarios into reliable automated test cases.
- Execute functional,regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Analyse automation failures and identify whether the root cause is related to:
- Application defects
- Automation/script issues
- Test data
- Environment issues
- Synchronization/timing issues
- Database/backend issues

- Work with existing reusable automation functions and framework components.
- Perform UI and backend validation using SQL.
- Validate financial and trading-related business workflows.
- Maintain and update TestComplete object identification/Name Mapping as application changes occur.




- Work with data-driven test automation, including Excel-based test data where applicable.
- Participate in defect investigation and collaborate with developers to validate fixes.
- Execute regression suites and review automation execution reports.
- Maintain automation code using Git/Bitbucket.
- Track requirements, test cases, defects, and execution status using Jira and qTest/QMetry.
- Support automation execution through CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the automation framework and QA processes.

Required Skills

Must Have

- 3+ years of experience in QA/Software Testing.
- Strong hands-on experience with TestComplete.
- Practical experience with Python-based automation.
- Robust understanding of QA fundamentals and automation testing.
- Experience in functional and regression testing.
- Good SQL knowledge and experience with backend/database validation.
- Experience working with Jira.
- Knowledge of Git/Bitbucket.
- Good debugging and analytical skills.
- Ability to understand and work with an existing automation framework.

Preferred Technical Skills

- API testing using Postman/REST APIs.
- Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
- qTest/QMetry.
- Data-drivenautomation.
- Excel-based test data.
- TestComplete NameMapping/Object Mapping.
- CI/CD integration.
