Position Summary

The Business Development Manager / Senior Manager – International Markets will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, negotiating, and executing business opportunities that support Aravis Pharma's global growth strategy. This is a full-spectrum BD role spanning in-licensing and out-licensing of products, strategic partnerships and alliance management, and support for M&A; / corporate development initiatives. The role requires close collaboration with R&D;, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Finance, and Commercial teams, along with regular engagement with international partners, distributors, and regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities

1. In-Licensing & Out-Licensing

- Identify, evaluate, and source new product opportunities (finished dosage forms, APIs, or technology platforms) for in-licensing into target international markets.
- Scout and structure out-licensing deals for Aravis Pharma's existing product portfolio and pipeline assets to partners in regulated and semi-regulated markets.
- Conduct market landscape analysis, competitive assessment, and commercial forecasting to support licensing decisions.
- Lead due diligence on technical, regulatory, IP, and commercial aspects of prospective licensing deals.

2. Partnerships & Alliance Management

- Build and maintain a strong network of distributors, CDMOs, CROs,



and marketing partners across assigned international territories.
- Negotiate and finalize commercial terms, supply agreements, and licensing/partnership contracts in coordination with Legal.
- Serve as the primary relationship owner for key strategic partners, ensuring alignment on joint business plans and performance targets.
- Monitor partner performance, resolve escalations, and identify opportunities to deepen or expand existing alliances.

3. M&A; & Corporate Development

- Support the identification, screening, and evaluation of acquisition, merger, and joint-venture opportunities aligned with corporate growth strategy.
- Assist in valuation modeling, deal structuring, and preparation of investment/business cases for leadership and board review.
- Coordinate cross-functional due diligence (financial, regulatory, operational) with internal teams and external advisors.
- Support post-deal integration planning in coordination with relevant functional heads.

4. Strategy, Market Intelligence & Reporting

- Track global regulatory, pricing, and competitive trends across target markets to inform BD strategy and prioritization.
- Prepare business cases, deal memos, and presentations for senior leadership and governance forums.




- Represent Aravis Pharma at international conferences, partnering events (e.g., CPHI, DCAT), and industry forums to build the deal pipeline.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date BD pipeline, tracking deal status, timelines, and key milestones.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related discipline; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification strongly preferred.
- 6–12 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical business development, licensing, or corporate development, with meaningful exposure to international markets.
- Demonstrated track record of sourcing, negotiating, and closing licensing, partnership, or M&A; transactions.
- Working knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory frameworks (e.g., US FDA, EU-EMA, or emerging-market regulatory pathways) as they relate to deal evaluation.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively and work across international time zones and cultures.

Skills & Competencies

- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including deal valuation and forecasting.
- Excellent negotiation, contracting, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex market and scientific information into clear recommendations.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; confident presenting to senior leadership and external partners.
- Self-driven, entrepreneurial, and comfortable operating with a degree of ambiguity in a rapid-growing organization.
- Proficiency with CRM/deal-tracking tools and standard business software (Excel, PowerPoint).
