Tracking Manager / Head of Tracking

Role Overview
The Tracking Manager / Head of Tracking will be responsible for managing the tracking team and ensuring smooth monitoring of all vehicle movements. The role will focus on vehicle tracking, appointment coordination, POD follow-up, delay management, team supervision, and daily reporting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Vehicle Tracking
Monitor all active vehicles and ensure regular tracking updates.
Maintain complete visibility of vehicles from dispatch to delivery.
Identify route deviations, stoppages, and delays.
Ensure tracking executives update vehicle status regularly.

2. Appointment Management
Ensure vehicles reach client locations within the scheduled appointment time.
Identify vehicles that may be delayed and take timely action.
Coordinate with drivers, vendors, and operations teams to avoid delays.
Escalate appointment-related issues to the concerned team.

3. POD Management

Ensure PODs are collected for all completed deliveries.
Follow up with drivers and transporters for pending PODs.
Maintain proper POD records and trackers.
Escalate long-pending PODs for timely closure.

4. Delay Monitoring & Escalation
Monitor vehicle delays and identify issues in advance.
Coordinate with the concerned teams to resolve operational issues.
Escalate major or prolonged delays to management.




Ensure timely action is taken to avoid delivery failures.

5. Team Management

Manage and supervise a team of 8to 10 Tracking Executives.
Allocate tracking responsibilities among team members.
Monitor daily workload and productivity.
Ensure all team members follow proper tracking and reporting processes.
Review pending issues and ensure timely resolution.
Maintain team discipline and accountability.

6. MIS & Reporting
Ensure timely preparation and submission of daily reports.
Maintain the Daily Vehicle Tracking Report.
Maintain the Daily POD Pending Report.
Prepare Weekly Operational Reports.
Share important operational issues and updates with management.

Required Skills

Knowledge of transportation and vehicle tracking operations.
Good knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
Strong ownership and accountability.

Experience & Qualification
Graduate in any discipline.
4-7 years of experience in logistics, transportation, vehicle tracking, control tower, or operations.
Experience in managing a tracking/operations team will be preferred.
