Job Title: U.S. Senior Tax Associate / Tax Manager / Senior Tax Manager
Location: Shalimar Bagh, Delhi , India
Employment Type & Shift: Full-Time and US Shift 08:00 PM IST to 05:00 AM IST
Experience: 2 - 10 Years of Relevant U.S. Tax Experience
Industry: U.S. CPA Firm / Tax & Accounting Services
Reporting To: Head Finance & Operations

About the Role

We are a U.S.-based CPA firm with a professional team working from India, providing U.S. tax preparation, compliance, accounting, and advisory services to individuals and businesses across the United States.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented U.S. Tax Associate / Senior Tax Associate with 2 - 10 years of hands-on experience in U.S. taxation. The ideal candidate should have practical experience preparing and/or reviewing U.S. federal and state tax returns and be comfortable working with U.S. tax software and accounting records.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and review U.S. federal and state income tax returns.
- Work on individual and business tax returns, including:
- Form 1040
- Form 1065
- Form 1120
- Form 1120-S
- Related federal and state tax forms and schedules.

- Prepare tax work papers and supporting schedules.
- Review financial statements, trial balances, general ledgers, and other accounting records for tax preparation.
- Identify potential tax issues, missing information, and tax adjustments.
- Perform tax research and assist with resolving technical tax matters.
- Assist with federal and state tax compliance requirements.
- Communicate with U.S.-based clients and/or the firm's U.S. tax team regarding tax-related information and queries.




- Assist in preparing responses to IRS and state notices, as required.
- Maintain proper documentation and follow the firm's tax preparation and review procedures.
- Meet assigned deadlines and manage multiple tax engagements efficiently.
- Stay updated on changes in U.S. federal and state tax laws.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelors or masters degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- 2 - 10 years of relevant U.S. tax experience in a CPA firm, accounting firm, or tax preparation environment.
- Strong experience with U.S. individual and/or business tax returns.
- Good understanding of U.S. federal and state taxation.
- Experience with U.S. tax software such as Pro Series or similar platforms is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting concepts.
- Ability to understand and analyze financial statements and accounting records.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors or inconsistencies.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with U.S.-based teams and meet U.S. tax deadlines.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with both individual and business tax returns.
- Experience with multi-state tax returns.
- Exposure to partnership, S-corporation,



and C-corporation taxation.
- Knowledge of depreciation, basis calculations, K-1s, Schedule C, Schedule E, Schedule D, and other common U.S. tax schedules.
- Experience in tax return review and quality control.
- Prior experience working with a U.S. CPA firm is highly preferred.
- CPA, EA, or equivalent U.S. tax qualification is a plus but not mandatory.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is someone who has 210 years of practical U.S. tax experience, can independently prepare U.S. tax returns, understands federal and state tax compliance, pays close attention to detail, and is interested in building a long-term career in U.S. taxation.

Preferred candidate profile

- B.Com/M. Com/MBA-Finance/CA Inter
- 5 to 15 years of experience in US finance & accounts has strong basic accounting knowledge
- Knowledge and understanding of US GAAP
- Experience in US payroll / US tax / US bookkeeping will be an added advantage
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient skills in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable
