We are seeking an experienced Windows Migration Engineer (L2.5 Build Engineer) to support large-scale infrastructure migration initiatives involving the migration of Windows-based virtual machines from on-premises or private cloud environments to AWS. The ideal candidate will have solid expertise in Windows Server administration, AWS cloud services, server build and deployment activities, migration methodologies, and infrastructure automation.

The engineer will be responsible for planning, building, migrating, validating, and supporting Windows workloads throughout the migration lifecycle while ensuring minimal business disruption and adherence to security standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Assess and analyze existing Windows server environments for migration readiness.
- Build, configure, and deploy Windows Server instances in AWS environments.
- Execute Windows VM migrations from on-premises platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.) to AWS.
- Configure AWS infrastructure components including EC2, VPC, Security Groups, IAM, EBS, and Load Balancers.
- Perform server provisioning, patching, hardening, and post-migration validation.
- Support migration tools such as AWS Application Migration Service (MGN), AWS Server Migration Service, and related technologies.
- Troubleshoot migration-related issues involving OS, networking, storage, and applications.
- Collaborate with cloud architects, application owners, infrastructure teams, and security teams.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, migration runbooks, and implementation procedures.
- Ensure adherence to operational, security, and compliance standards.
- Participate in migration planning,



cutover activities, and post-migration support.

Required Qualifications

- 4+ years of Windows Infrastructure Administration experience.
- 2+ years of AWS cloud experience.
- Hands-on experience migrating Windows workloads to AWS.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in enterprise production environments.

Preferred Qualifications

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate.
- AWS SysOps Administrator Certification.
- Experience with VMware vSphere administration.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools.
