Role & responsibilities

# Responsible for maintenance of mechanical power presses, pneumatic presses, hydraulic presses, and stamping machines.

# Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of power press machines and associated equipment.

# Troubleshoot mechanical problems in clutch, brake, flywheel, crankshaft, connecting rod, slide, bolster, gears, bearings, and lubrication systems.

# Maintain and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including cylinders, valves, pumps, pressure regulators, hoses, and fittings.

# Attend machine breakdowns and identify the root cause to restore equipment quickly and safely.

# Perform power press die maintenance, including die installation, alignment, adjustment, inspection, and replacement of damaged components.

# Check and maintain press slide alignment, shut height, stroke, tonnage, and machine operating conditions.

# Inspect and maintain electrical control panels, motors, sensors, limit switches, solenoid valves, relays, contactors, and safety circuits.

# Troubleshoot PLC, proximity sensors, photoelectric sensors, and machine interlocking systems in coordination with electrical/automation teams.

# Carry out regular lubrication, tightening, alignment, inspection, and replacement of worn-out parts.





# Monitor machine condition and reduce unplanned downtime, breakdown frequency, and maintenance costs.

# Maintain maintenance checklists, breakdown reports, preventive-maintenance records, spare-parts records, and machine history.

# Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for repeated machine failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.

# Coordinate with production, quality, tool room, and engineering teams to ensure continuous production.

# Maintain critical spare parts for power presses and stamping equipment and coordinate with stores/purchase for availability.

# Support new machine installation, commissioning, modification, machine shifting, and improvement activities.

# Ensure compliance with machine safety requirements, guarding, emergency stops, interlocks, and LOTO procedures.

# Train and guide maintenance technicians/operators in basic machine inspection, lubrication, and protected operation.

# Participate in TPM, Kaizen, 5S, OEE improvement, and continuous-improvement activities.

# Ensure maximum machine availability and reliability while maintaining safe working conditions

# Handling IATF audit documents
