Job Summary:
Responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing applications on the IBM iSeries (AS/400) platform. The role involves RPG programming, database development, application support, troubleshooting, and integration with business systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, maintain, and enhance applications on the IBM iSeries / AS/400 platform.
- Write and maintain programs using RPG / RPGLE / RPG IV.
- Develop and optimize applications using CL/CLLE and SQL.
- Work with DB2 for i for database design, queries, stored procedures, and data management.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Perform application enhancements, bug fixing, debugging, and production support.
- Develop and maintain batch jobs, interfaces, reports, and system utilities.
- Troubleshoot application and database issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Support integration of iSeries applications with external systems and APIs.
- Perform code reviews,



testing, deployment, and documentation.
- Monitor application performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Collaborate with business analysts, functional teams, and other developers.
- Participate in migration, modernization, and application upgrade initiatives.
- Prepare technical documentation, program specifications, and support procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 6-9 years of experience in IBM iSeries / AS400 development.
- Robust hands-on experience with RPGLE / RPG IV.
- Good knowledge of CL/CLLE, DB2 for i, SQL, and IBM i.
- Experience with IBM i development tools and debugging utilities.
- Knowledge of DDS, ILE concepts, subfiles, job queues, and batch processing.
- Experience in application maintenance, production support, and troubleshooting.
