The Impact You ll Make in this Role
- Daily cash positioning and rolling cash flow forecasting; In-house banking; FX and settlement; bank account management, etc. for Japan
- Partnering with other treasury/finance areas to support closing cycles; Support treasury activities on Kyriba and SAP;
- Ensure relevant compliance on both internal (such as 3M GFS, Sox) and external policies;
- Leveraging knowledge of treasury technology systems (such as SAP, SWIFT, Kyriba, Power BI, etc) to automate and improve current processes. Participating in global change management projects across cash and banking,
- Partnering with business functions to provide proactive finance guidance to influence business thinking related to cash management, financial instruments, and banking strategies
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Fluent English both in written and verbal; Japanese language skill(Business Level)
- Bachelor s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- 5 years finance experience and at least 2 years treasury experience in international enterprise
Additional qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiar with general FX regulations and able to plan the response according to policy updates;
- Strong numeracy skills, experienced in using Microsoft Excel; TMS/Kyriba SAP knowledge experience would be an advantage;
- Can problem solve and work through issues independently;
- Self-starter with ability to prioritize projects and drive change
- Cross-cultural project management experience, valuable team player and able to motivate self and others;
