Position Title: Business Consulting - Senior Manager-Oil and gas downstream

We are looking for a Business Consultant to join the EY GDS Consulting Oil Gas team. As part of EY Consulting, you will lead strategic engagements for downstream oil gas clients, focusing on operational excellence, digital transformation, strategy and optimization of business process. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, gaining exposure to both the business requirements and the technology that enables them. You will leverage deep industry expertise and advanced technologies to deliver data-driven insights, process improvements, and sustainable value creation.

Your Key Responsibilities

Leadership:

- Lead and deliver consulting engagements across the downstream oil gas value chain.
- Engage with clients across global geographies, collaborate with EY member firms and internal subject-matter experts, and maintain high-quality stakeholder relationships.

Strategy:

- Develop and present strategic roadmaps for digital transformation of downstream oil and gas business
- Define and document new processes, ensuring alignment between business requirements and technology solutions.
- Leverage data, analytics, IoT, AI/ML, cloud platforms and digital twins to generate insights, improve decision-making and operational performance for oil and gas downstream clients

Consulting:

- Work closely with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and value creation
- Mentor and manage consulting teams, build capability within the team, ensure delivery excellence and knowledge transfer.
- Facilitate organizational change management for digital adoption and capability building.
- Contribute to EY s Energy Consulting practice through whitepapers, client workshops, and solution development.

Business Development:

- Be responsible for managing downstream Oil and Gas client account(s) and stakeholders across a portfolio of business opportunities and projects
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities,



leveraging your network and market insights to drive growth.
- Shape compelling proposals and thought leadership, positioning the firm as a partner of choice for strategic transformation.
- Meet individual and team sales and revenue targets.

Skills and attributes for success

Must have

- Bachelor s degree in engineering (Chemical or equivalent)
- Approximately 15-18 years of total experience, with a blend of downstream oil gas industry experience and strong consulting experience.
- Expertise in downstream oil and gas sector preferably in refinery and petrochemicals industry. Industry experience in LNG/Gas Plant experience will be added advantage
- Extensive knowledge of downstream oil and gas value chains, business models, business processes, capabilities and technology solutions vendors (Aspentech, Aveva, Honeywell etc.)
- Prior working experience in digital transformation for oil gas business including exposure to IT/OT architecture and framework
- Familiarity with process simulation, process optimization, asset performance management tools will be added advantage.
- Experience working with clients to create business and technology strategies, solutions and delivery roadmaps
- Experience leading business and technology enabled transformation projects within Oil and Gas
- Proven track record in project delivery, with the ability to deliver high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines.
- Strong client and relationship network within the Oil and Gas Industry, and experience developing and owning relationships across the market
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, bringing teams together to achieve common goals in complex environments.
- Extensive experience managing teams and mentoring talent, contributing to practice growth and capability building.

Positive to have

- Master s degree (MBA or related).
- Experience working with global consulting firms or energy-focused advisory teams.
