Job Summary
The Employment Livelihood Supervisor will be responsible for supporting the implementation, supervision, and monitoring of employment, livelihood, skilling, entrepreneurship, and value-chain development initiatives across Nagaland.
The role will work closely with youth, entrepreneurs, producers, community groups, artisans, trainees, government departments, financial institutions, corporates, development partners, and other stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of programmes and achievement of project outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Employment Livelihood Programme Implementation: Support the planning and implementation of Employment Livelihood programmes and projects.
- Coordinate day-to-day field activities and ensure timely achievement of programme targets.
- Supervise programme activities across assigned locations and ensure compliance with project plans and guidelines.
- Identify implementation challenges and coordinate with the concerned team for timely resolution.
- Livelihood Value-Chain Development: Support the implementation and strengthening of various livelihood value chains promotion.
- Work with producers, entrepreneurs, community groups, and other stakeholders across different stages of the value chain, including production, processing, value addition, packaging, marketing, and market linkage.
- Support initiatives related to Banana Fibre, Pineapple Fibre, and other livelihood enterprises.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for improving productivity, product development, market access, and income generation.
- Document challenges, learnings, innovations, and success stories from livelihood interventions.
- Financial Institution-Supported Initiatives: Support the implementation and field-level coordination of programmes undertaken in collaboration with development and financial institutions.
- Coordinate with beneficiaries, entrepreneurs, producer groups, community institutions, and project stakeholders.
- Ensure that project activities and deliverables are implemented in accordance with approved plans and timelines.
- Support beneficiary identification, mobilisation, training, enterprise development, monitoring, and reporting.
- Maintain accurate project records and supporting documentation as required by partners and funding agencies.
- Youth Mobilisation Employment Support: Mobilise youth for employment, skill development, entrepreneurship, and livelihood opportunities.
- Conduct outreach activities in communities, educational institutions, training centres, and other relevant locations.
- Support career guidance, job-readiness, and employment-related activities.
- Facilitate linkages between youth and relevant employers,
training institutions, and livelihood opportunities.
- Track employment and livelihood outcomes of programme participants.
- Enterprise Entrepreneur Support: Provide field-level support to aspiring and existing entrepreneurs.
- Assist entrepreneurs in identifying opportunities, challenges, and potential market linkages.
- Support enterprise development activities, including business planning, capacity building, product development, and market access.
- Coordinate with relevant technical experts, financial institutions, and market partners where required.
- Field Supervision Stakeholder Coordination: Conduct regular field visits to monitor programme activities and beneficiary progress.
- Supervise field staff, mobilisers, trainers, and other project personnel, as assigned.
- Build and maintain relationships with government departments, financial institutions, employers, educational institutions, community organisations, producer groups, and other stakeholders.
- Represent in field-level meetings, workshops, consultations, exhibitions, and other programme events.
- Monitoring, Documentation Reporting: Maintain accurate records of beneficiaries, enterprises, training activities, production, employment, placements, and livelihood outcomes.
- Collect, verify, and maintain programme data and supporting documentation.
- Prepare regular field visit reports, progress reports, case studies, success stories, and other project documentation.
- Track project indicators, milestones, outputs, and outcomes against approved targets.
- Support the preparation of reports and updates required by YouthNet s partners and funding agencies.
- Market Linkages Promotion: Support market linkage initiatives for products developed through livelihood value chains.
- Assist in identifying potential buyers, institutional markets, retailers, distributors, and other market opportunities.
- Support exhibitions, fairs, product showcases, buyer-seller meets, and promotional activities.
- Coordinate with relevant teams on branding, packaging, marketing, and product promotion.

Qualifications Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Development Studies, Social Work, Rural Development, Management, Economics, Sociology, Agriculture, Entrepreneurship, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in livelihood development, employment, entrepreneurship, skill development, value-chain development, community development, or programme implementation.
- Experience working with development organisations, government programmes, financial institutions, NGOs, CSR programmes, or donor-funded projects will be an advantage.
- Experience in livelihood value chains, enterprise development, market linkages, or community-based programmes will be preferred.
- Familiarity with the socio-economic and livelihood context of Nagaland will be an advantage.
