Role Summary
Consultants - Offshore support the technical implementation of the Charles River Investment Management Solution application by contributing to configuration, development, integration, and testing activities across client implementations.
This role requires a solid understanding of investment management systems, hands‑on technical skills, and the ability to work effectively within project teams to implement client requirements under established solution designs and guidance. Consultants collaborate closely with senior consultants, project managers, and global delivery teams to help deliver stable, production‑ready solutions and support client readiness for go‑live.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking implementation professionals with foundational to intermediate experience in financial technology delivery, ideally within capital markets or investment management environments. The ideal candidate brings5-8 years of relevant industry experience, gained within a consulting firm, financial institution, or financial software provider.
Candidates should have hands‑on experience contributing to Front, Middle, or Back Office implementations, possess strong technical fundamentals, and demonstrate the ability to learn application functionality and capital markets workflows.
Key Responsibilities
As a Consultant - Offshore (Senior Associate), you will:
- Contribute to Application technology implementations across Front, Middle, and Back Office workflows under guidance
- Assist in analyzing and translating business and technical requirements into application configurations and components
- Configure and develop application components based on established designs and standards
- Support system testing activities, including functional, integration, and regression testing
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues with support from senior team members
- Ensure configurations and deliverables meet quality, stability, and operational standards
- Participate in go‑live readiness activities and provide implementation support post‑deployment
- Follow CRD SDLC, documentation standards, and delivery best practices
- Collaborate effectively with global delivery teams and stakeholders
What We Value
Consultants (Offshore) are expected to demonstrate:
- Experience contributing to Investment Management or Capital Markets system implementations
- Strong problem‑solving skills with attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work effectively in structured delivery environments
- Willingness to learn product functionality, domain concepts, and delivery processes
- Clear communication and collaboration skills within project teams
Technical Skills & Experience
Working knowledge and hands‑on exposure to the following is expected:
Programming & Development
- C# (working proficiency)
- Core Java (working proficiency)
- SQL Server (querying, joins, basic performance analysis)
Data & Reporting
- Exposure to ETL or data processing tools (e.g., Pentaho, Talend)
- Basic experience with reporting tools such as SSRS
- Data validation and reconciliation support
Cloud & Platforms
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
- Familiarity with cloud‑based deployments is a plus
- Snowflake exposure is beneficial but not mandatory
Integration & Market Data
- Awareness of industry interfaces (e.g., FIX, SWIFT)
- Exposure to market and reference data providers (e.g., Bloomberg, MSCI) is a plus
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline
- Strong foundation in:
- Object‑oriented programming
- Databases and SQL concepts
- Enterprise application fundamentals
- Agentic and Gen AI efficient Usage
- Exposure to financial systems, data integration, or distributed systems is desirable
- Relevant certifications are a plus:
- Azure / AWS fundamentals
- Technical or financial certifications
- Progress toward CFA is an advantage
Experience Requirements
- 5-8 years of relevant professional experience in financial technology or enterprise software
- Hands‑on experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Application configuration or development
- System integration and data processing
- Reporting or analytics support
- Capital markets or investment management platforms
