An Ideal Candidate:

Solid knowledge of Sand Casting and Forging processes.

Good understanding of GD&T;, dimensional inspection, SPC, and quality tools.

Hands-on experience with precision measuring and inspection instruments.

Knowledge of metallurgy, material testing, heat treatment, and NDT methods.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and supplier management skills.

Good communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.

Key Competencies:

Perform incoming, in-process/stage, and final inspection of castings and forgings.

Conduct dimensional inspection using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, CMM, and other precision instruments.

Perform visual inspection and identify defects such as shrinkage, porosity, cracks, cold shuts, misruns, scale,



and laps.

Review and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, customer specifications, inspection plans, and quality standards.

Monitor critical manufacturing process parameters affecting product quality.

Review MTCs, chemical composition, mechanical properties, heat treatment, and microstructure reports.

Coordinate and verify NDT activities including UT, RT, MT, and PT.

Conduct Root Cause Analysis using 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone and drive CAPA implementation.

Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records, NCRs, and other quality documentation.

Conduct supplier audits, process assessments, and supplier quality improvement activities.

Apply SPC, measurement techniques, ISO 9001 requirements, and customer-specific quality standards.

Work closely with Production, Engineering, Suppliers, and Customers to resolve quality issues and improve product/process quality.
