Job Description: Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager - Procurement (Bought Out)

Location: Ahmedabad

Role Purpose:

To manage end-to-end procurement activities for Bought-Out Items (BOI) for projects, including vendor sourcing, enquiry management, techno-commercial evaluation, negotiations, purchase order placement, vendor follow-up, expediting, and ensuring timely delivery of materials in line with project schedules and procurement procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, review, and maintain Purchase Requisitions (PRs) received from project and engineering teams.
• Scrutinize purchase requisitions and supporting documents to ensure completeness and technical clarity.
• Prepare Project Procurement Plans in line with project timelines and requirements.
• Review Approved Vendor List (AVL) and float enquiries to suitable vendors as per project requirements.
• Conduct techno-commercial evaluation of vendor quotations and perform negotiations with suppliers.
• Release Purchase Orders (POs)



after necessary approvals and commercial finalization.
• Monitor manufacturing progress at vendor locations and ensure compliance with delivery commitments.
• Expedite materials for inspection and dispatch in accordance with project schedules.
• Coordinate dispatch and shipping activities to ensure timely delivery to project sites or warehouses.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with ISO standards and internal procurement procedures.
• Conduct periodic supplier evaluations and provide feedback for vendor performance assessment.
• Maintain strong and healthy relationships with suppliers for smooth procurement operations.

Must Have Skills:

• 9-13 years of experience in procurement, specifically handling Bought-Out Items for projects.
• Strong knowledge of procurement lifecycle including PR review, vendor enquiry, techno-commercial
evaluation, and PO placement.
• Experience in vendor negotiations and supplier management.
• Ability to monitor manufacturing progress and expedite deliveries as per project requirements.

• Familiarity with procurement documentation, ISO procedures, and vendor evaluation systems.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office tools

Good-to-Have Experience:

- • Experience in EPC projects, process plants, or industrial equipment procurement.
• Exposure to water treatment, power, oil & gas, or chemical plant projects.
• Knowledge of international procurement and logistics coordination.
• Experience handling multiple vendors and large project procurement packages.
