Job Title: Quality Engineer (Test Automation & Quality Assurance)

Summary:

- Defines and owns the test strategy (unit, integration, E2E, performance, regression).
- Builds and maintains automated test suites for APIs and GUI applications.
- Supports the team in shifting testing left — developers own unit/integration tests.
- Monitors test results in CI/CD and drives defect root-cause analysis.
- Performs exploratory and non-functional testing where automation is insufficient.

Mandatory Skills (in order of importance):

1. Test automation frameworks (Jest, Playwright, Cypress, or similar)
2. API testing (REST, GraphQL — Postman, Supertest)
3. TypeScript / JavaScript
4. CI/CD integration (GitHub Actions — test pipeline setup & maintenance)
5. Test strategy design (unit,



integration, E2E, performance, regression)
6. Defect management & root-cause analysis (Jira)
7. Git / GitHub (version control, PR review, branching)

Advantageous Skills:

- Performance / load testing (k6, Artillery)
- React component testing (React Testing Library)
- AWS Lambda (understanding serverless for E2E scenarios)
- MongoDB / PostgreSQL (database-level test data management)
- Security testing basics (OWASP, vulnerability awareness)
- SonarQube (code coverage, quality gates)
