Based in Noida office, as an Instrumentation & Control (I&C;) Engineer, you will support instrumentation and controls engineering for both new construction and brownfield mining, metals and other heavy industrial projects, influencing project outcomes from concept through completion. Your work will help our clients operate safely, reliably, and efficiently.

Responsibilities

The I&C; Engineer shall have experience in Detailed Engineering Design and Consultancy in sectors such as Oil & gas, Bulk Material Handling, Crushers, Grinding Mills. Experience in Power Plant, Coal Grinding, Cement industry will be an added advantage and will be responsible for the following minimum services:

- Prepare control philosophy, system architecture, and functional specifications for complex process systems
- Coordination with other engineers internally, CA team leads and deliver the output as per the project schedule.
- Ensure that all deliverables are complying project & client requirements

Key Competencies / Skills

• I & C Engineer with detailed knowledge and proven application in all general instrumentation & control designs pertaining to Mining and Bulk Material Handling industry domains including statutory aspects.
• Strong Experience in Field Instrumentation,



Control and Automation systems of Mining and Bulk Material Handling,
• Strong Experience in PLC, SCADA, DCS and process automation platforms. Proven ability to develop control narratives, P&IDs;, loop diagrams, and I/O lists
• Experience in executing tasks such as Owners & Lenders Engineer Consultancy, Detailed design projects, prefeasibility & FEED studies, performance testing and operational support consultancy services within the power industry,
• Experience in leading the Technical Meeting with Client and Contractor and prepare the MOM.
• Proficient in Instrumentation and control design aspects for basic, detailed & review engineering of Mining and Bulk Material handling projects.
• Adept to assess designs and support the project team with queries/ comments/ observations/ clarifications.

• Electrical understanding of the control system and how the system components interact.
• Ability to develop and review P&ID;, electrical schematics and Logic Diagrams, control wiring diagrams, cable schedules etc.
• Prepare and review control systems/equipment control philosophy, specifications, data sheets, bid evaluations etc.
• Able to understand, verify, analyse & implement design modification requests / deviations etc. requested by client/contractors/consultants
• Ability to maintain document database for all engineering designs, drawings and project wise technical data as per company procedures/standards.




• Capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple projects with the ability to predict the time required as accurately feasible to complete the deliverables.
• Experience in attending factory acceptance testing (FAT) of major equipment,
• Experience in Building Automation, CCTV, Telecom industry will be added advantage
• Provide the engineering hours details during the Consultancy tender submission to win the project,
• Willingness to travel in India and overseas as and when required.

• Understanding of project lifecycles and the implementation in the project environment

Key Competencies / Skills

- Relevant experience on Oil & Gas or Power Plant or Mining/mineral processing consultation industry, EPC projects will be an added advantage.
- Robust knowledge of DCS, PLC and SCADA.
- Excellent skills in English verbal and non-verbal communication.
- Working hours will require up to 4 hours of overlap with North American time zone, until 12:00 a.m. IST.

Qualifications

- A Degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering or related Engineering discipline. A master’s degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering is certainly advantageous.

- At least 10 Years proven industry experience in detailed design and consultancy of Instrumentation and control systems.

- Membership of relevant professional bodies is desirable.

- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility in Canada.

- Employment with WSP India is subject to the successful completion of a background verification (“BGV”) check conducted by a third-party agency appointed by WSP India.
