Job Description

- Able to apply paint, stain, varnish, enamel, etc. to property walls, ceilings, and furniture.
- Able to effectively use brushes, spray guns, or rollers.
- Responsible for maintaining property color scheme specifications.
- Responsible for maintaining and matching shades of particular areas.
- Apply primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces, such as bare wood or metal, for finish coats.
- Remove old finishes by stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or using water and/or abrasive blasting.
- Cover surfaces with appropriate material for protection during painting and post appropriate paint signs.
- Clean up and store paint and painting tools and equipment in appropriate areas.
- Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE), and employ correct lifting procedures, as necessary, to avoid injury.

Qualifications

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a professional painter, preferably in a hospitality or commercial setting




- Proficiency in various painting techniques, including color mixing, application methods, and surface preparation
- Extensive knowledge of different paint types, finishes, and their appropriate uses
- Experience with timber treatments and specialty coating applications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, consistent results
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a rapid-paced environment
- Basic understanding of safety procedures and proper handling of painting materials
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry is advantageous
