About The Job:

- We are looking for a Retail Consultant to shape and deliver high-value, end-to-end retail use cases for our simulation platform.
- This role is focused on turning complex retail decisions into clear, testable scenarios that can be moCliented, validated, and scaled.

Purpose

- Retail decisions are often treated as isolated activities, when in reality they create downstream impact across margin, waste, availability, and operations.
- The purpose of this role is to make those system-wide effects visible before decisions are made by translating real-world retail problems into executable simulation use cases.

Essential Job Functions:
- Identify and prioritise high-value retail problems that cut across Commercial, Supply Chain, Fulfilment, and Stores.
- Focus on cross-domain and decision-led problems that are not tied to a single system or team.
- Work with business stakeholders to define the core decision clearly.
- Articulate trade-offs such as margin vs. waste and availability vs. cost.
- Define decision variables and the conditions under which different choices perform better.
- Break down each use case into structured, low-level scenarios that can be executed in simulation.
- Define inputs, policy levers, constraints, and measurable outputs in a way that can be realistically moCliented.
- Partner with Data Science and Engineering to ensure each use case is implementable.
- Validate data availability and align on moClienting assumptions.
- Ensure use cases accurately reflect how the business operates.




- Lead stakeholder alignment across Business, Technology, and Data Science.
- Work with senior stakeholders who may have limited time or conflicting priorities.
- Drive agreement on scope, value, and success criteria.
- Support execution on the simulation platform.
- Review simulation outputs and validate results with SMEs.
- Refine scenarios based on evidence and stakeholder feedback.

Qualifications:
- Deep retail experience beyond ecommerce or OMS, with a strong understanding of how decisions flow across the end-to-end value chain.
- Ability to connect Commercial decisions to Supply Chain and Store outcomes with credibility.
- Strong ability to structure ambiguity and transform loosely defined problems into clear decisions, scenarios, and measurable outcomes.
- Ability to take ownership without waiting for a fully defined brief.
- Credibility with senior stakeholders and the ability to drive alignment in challenging environments.
- Ability to challenge assumptions and facilitate agreement, even when stakeholders are reluctant or time constrained.
- Comfortable moving between strategy and detail.
- Ability to maintain the end-to-end context while defining precise, executable use cases at a low level.
- Understanding of data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to define what needs to be moCliented, what data is required, and how to interpret outputs.

- Comfortable iterating based on evidence rather than seeking perfect upfront definition.
- Strong focus on value realisation and measurable business outcomes.
