We are a growing Chartered Accountant firm looking to onboard motivated and sincere Article Assistants who are keen to learn and build a strong foundation in the profession.
About the Role:
We are looking for a sincere, detail-oriented and responsible Junior Accountant with 24 years of relevant experience. The candidate should have valuable practical knowledge of day-to-day accounting and a basic understanding of GST and related compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain day-to-day accounting records and ensure accurate posting of transactions.
Pass accounting entries for sales, purchases, receipts, payments, expenses and journal transactions.
Maintain Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable records.
Prepare and maintain bank, party and ledger reconciliations.
Assist in preparation of monthly/periodic financial statements and MIS reports.
Assist in GST-related work,
including basic understanding of GST provisions, tax invoices, Input Tax Credit and GST returns.
Assist in reconciliation of GSTR-2B with purchase records/books.
Assist in preparation and filing of GST returns under supervision.
Maintain proper documentation and accounting records for audit and compliance purposes.
Preferred candidate profile
The ideal candidate should be reliable, organised, detail-oriented and keen to develop robust practical accounting skills. The person should have a willingness to learn GST and other statutory compliances and should be comfortable working with deadlines.
