Job Overview: -

We are looking for experienced AS400 Mainframe Test Automation Engineers to support a strategic engagement with Ford Motor Company (UK). The ideal candidate should have robust experience in AS400 Manual Testing along with Automation Testing, preferably using Tosca or UFT.

This role requires specialists who can perform both manual and automation testing within AS400/Mainframe environments while collaborating with global teams in an agile delivery model.

Key Responsibilities
Perform Manual and Automation Testing for AS400/Mainframe applications.
Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts for AS400 applications.
Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Develop reusable automation frameworks and test assets.
Analyze business and functional requirements to create effective test scenarios and test cases.
Execute automated test suites and analyze test results.
Log, track, and manage defects through resolution.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts,



and stakeholders to ensure application quality.
Participate in sprint planning, test planning, and release activities.
Prepare testing reports and provide status updates throughout the project lifecycle.

Mandatory Skills
Strong experience in AS400/Mainframe Testing
Hands-on experience in Manual Testing
2–3+ years of recent Automation Testing experience in AS400/Mainframe applications
Experience with Tosca (Preferred) or UFT (Secondary Preference)
Solid understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
Experience in Functional, Regression, Integration, and System Testing
Experience with defect tracking and test management tools
Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Skills
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Exposure to CI/CD processes
Automotive domain experience is an advantage
Ability to work independently with global teams
