Job Description
Review basic and detailed engineering drawings prepared by external consultants and suggest corrections wherever required.
Evaluate drawings for constructability, operational ease, and identify better or optimized design possibilities.
Understand and review mechanical systems for DM Plant, DI Plant, ETP, ZLD Plant, and VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) treatment systems.
Review and understand piping layouts, equipment GA drawings, P&IDs;, and utility distribution drawings.
Coordinate with consultants, OEMs, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve engineering issues.
Plan and coordinate installation of main process lines and all mechanical utilities.
Coordinate execution of mechanical erection, alignment, testing, and commissioning activities at site.
Ensure proper integration of mechanical systems with electrical, instrumentation, and civil activities.
Participate in commissioning and performance validation of utilities and treatment plants.
After project completion, take full responsibility for mechanical maintenance of the plant.
Prepare and execute preventive and scheduled maintenance plans as per OEM and supplier guidelines.
Lead improvement initiatives to reduce breakdowns, improve equipment reliability, and minimize downtime.
Ensure effective mechanical spare parts management to optimize inventory and reduce maintenance cost.
Analyze recurring failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
