We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Category Lead – Kids Wear to own the end-to-end growth and profitability of the kidswear category. The role will be responsible for developing the category strategy, assortment, pricing, sourcing, inventory, and sales performance across retail channels.
- Develop and execute the annual category strategy aligned with business and customer objectives.
- Build the seasonal assortment architecture, including product mix, price points, sizes, colors, styles, and depth.
- Lead the buying and merchandising process based on consumer insights, trends, historical performance, and market opportunities.
- Identify emerging kidswear trends and translate them into commercially viable product ranges.
- Manage OTB, inventory, sell-through, stock cover, markdowns, and working capital.
- Drive category growth through current products, collections, promotions, and pricing strategies.
- Work closely with design, sourcing, vendors, quality, supply chain,



marketing, e-commerce, and store teams.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate costs, MOQs, lead times, payment terms, and commercial agreements.
- Analyze category performance using sales, margin, sell-through, ASP, conversion, inventory, and other relevant KPIs.
- Identify underperforming products and take corrective actions through replenishment, price changes, promotions, or assortment rationalization.
- Ensure the right product availability across stores and online channels.
- Monitor competitor assortments, pricing, promotions, and positioning to identify market opportunities.
- Lead category reviews and present business performance, insights, and action plans to senior management.
- Mentor and manage category/buying/merchandising team members.
