A BMS Operator is responsible for monitoring, operating, and maintaining the Building Management System (BMS) to ensure the protected, efficient, and uninterrupted operation of all building services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and operate the Building Management System (BMS).
- Monitor HVAC systems (Chillers, AHUs, FCUs, FAHUs).
- Monitor electrical systems, including HT/LT panels, transformers, DG sets, and UPS.
- Monitor Fire Alarm and Fire Fighting Systems.
- Monitor water systems such as domestic water pumps, booster pumps, transfer pumps, STP, and WTP.
- Respond to alarms and troubleshoot system faults.
- Report faults and coordinate with maintenance technicians and engineers.
- Prepare daily shift reports and maintain logbooks.
- Monitor temperature, humidity, and pressure parameters.
- Schedule equipment operation through the BMS.
- Monitor energy consumption and support energy-saving initiatives.
- Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Review alarm history and trend logs.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) during emergencies.
- Ensure all building systems operate safely and efficiently.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
- Building Management System (BMS)
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma/ITI/B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or a related field.
- Experience in BMS operation in commercial buildings, hospitals, airports, data centers, or high-rise buildings is preferred (Minimum 05 years)
