As Lead Fire & Safety, you'll be the guardian of life safety systems, emergency preparedness, and fire protection standards across multiple high-profile buildings. This is a hands-on leadership role combining strategic oversight with operational excellence.
What You'll Do
Fire Safety Leadership
- Own fire safety strategy and execution across the entire portfolio
- Conduct hazard identification, risk analysis, and mitigation planning
- Lead emergency response as incident commander during fire/chemical incidents
- Develop and enforce fire safety SOPs and compliance standards
System Excellence
- Audit and maintain fire protection systems: hydrants, sprinklers, suppression systems, alarms
- Ensure readiness of specialized equipment including foam systems and gas suppression
- Coordinate with building managers and operations heads on safety protocols
- Drive timely corrections through inspections and risk assessments
Training & Preparedness
- Design and deliver firefighting and rescue training programs
- Conduct regular mock drills: fire evacuation, chemical spill, emergency response
- Mentor safety officers and site teams on best practices
- Run weekly safety meetings and Protected/Unsafe behavior discussions (SUSA)
Stakeholder Management
- Partner with building leads on safety reviews and risk mitigation
- Ensure regulatory compliance with local fire safety laws
- Build safety awareness through success stories and continuous coaching
- Coordinate with emergency services and regulatory authorities
What You Bring
Must-Have
- 10+ years in fire safety (industrial/commercial environments)
- Valid fire safety license (Sub Officer / Fire Prevention Officer certified)
- Proven expertise in fire protection systems and emergency response
- Strong track record in safety training delivery and team development
Technical Skills
- Fire systems: hydrants, sprinklers, deluge, foam, gas suppression, alarms
- Hazard identification & risk assessment (HIRA)
- Incident investigation and root cause analysis
- Fire safety standards: NFPA, NBC, local regulations
- Permit to Work (PTW) and emergency planning
