- System Design & Calculations: Create Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), schematic drawings, power flow calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop computations, and short-circuit analyses.
- Equipment Specification: Size and specify heavy electrical equipment like transformers, high/medium/low voltage switchgear, UPS systems, and diesel generators.
- Protection & Safety Engineering: Design earthing and lightning protection grids, hazardous area classifications, and relay coordination matrices.
- Vendor Management: Review vendor drawings, evaluate technical bids, and ensure supplied equipment matches project requirements.
- Inter-Disciplinary Coordination: Work alongside civil, mechanical, and piping teams to finalize equipment layouts and cable routing paths.
- Site Support:
Provide technical clarifications during construction, installation, and testing phases leading up to plant commissioning
Preferred candidate profile :
- Education: Bachelors or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 4 to 9 years working in design, FEED (Front-End Engineering Design), or detailed engineering within an EPC setting.
- Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with tools like ETAP, AutoCAD, or EPLAN.
- Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with international and local codes (such as IEEE, IEC, or local statutory standards)
