Position Overview: As a Print Designer, you will work closely with our design and academic teams to create visually appealing and engaging book designs. You will be responsible for designing book covers, layouts, and other print materials, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and align with the overall vision of the publication.
Key Responsibilities:
Design book covers that are visually appealing and market-appropriate.
Create and layout book interiors, including text, images, and illustrations.
Collaborate with SMEs, editors, and senior designers to understand project
Requirements and Bbjectives.
Ensure all designs are print-ready and meet industry standards.
Maintain consistency and quality across all design projects.
Assist in the preparation of print files and liaise with printers to ensure accurate
production.
Stay updated on design trends, printing techniques, and publishing standards.
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously,
meeting deadlines and quality standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
Strong understanding of typography, colour theory, and layout design.
Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
Ability to take constructive feedback and make necessary adjustments to designs.
Robust communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Prior experience in book design or print design is a plus.
