About the Role:

Oblytech is seeking a skilled ServiceNow Technical Consultant with strong expertise in CMDB, Discovery, and ITOM. In this role, you will support enterprise customers by maintaining and enhancing their ServiceNow platform, with a strong focus on configuration management, service mapping, infrastructure visibility, and operational health.

You will be responsible for administration, development, support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement across CMDB and Discovery-related capabilities, while working closely with customer and internal teams in a global delivery model.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide day-to-day support for ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and ITOM-related processes, including incident resolution, service requests, and defect fixes.
- Manage and maintain CMDB health, including identification, reconciliation, normalization, and data quality improvements.
- Configure, administer, and optimize ServiceNow Discovery for servers, network devices, cloud resources, and other infrastructure components.
- Support implementation and maintenance of Service Mapping and related ITOM capabilities.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Discovery schedules, credentials, MID Servers, probes, sensors, patterns, and identification errors.
- Develop and enhance CMDB and ITOM workflows, business rules, scripts,



and automation to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to onboard new services and ensure accurate CI relationships.
- Support Event Management and overall ITOM process improvements where applicable.
Develop and maintain integrations with third-party tools and monitoring systems using REST, SOAP APIs, and Integration Hub.

Required Skills and Experience:

- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow platform experience with in-depth knowledge of:
- ITOM: Discovery, Event Management, CMDB and Cloud Management.
- Integrations using REST, SOAP APIs, and Integration Hub.
- Scripting: JavaScript, Glide APIs, Jelly, and Business Rules.
- UI customization: Service Portal, Widgets, and Dashboards.
- Reporting and analytics: Performance Analytics and Metrics Configuration.
- Development Skills: Proven experience in building custom applications and workflows using ServiceNow Studio.
- Support Skills: Level 2/Level 3 support experience for enterprise ServiceNow implementations.
- Shift Readiness: Flexibility to work in rotational shifts covering global time zones.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with teams across India, Australia, and the US.

Certifications:

- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or higher certifications (e.g., CAD, CIS).
- ITOM/ITAM-specific certifications (e.g., ITOM Visibility Implementation Specialist, Discovery, HAM, ITAM Implementer, etc.) are highly preferred.
