Responsibilities:

- Lead and future development of our software tooling team for refrigeration electronic systems in LHI

- Tooling strategy & Senior contributor for the architecture and implementation of Qt/C++ tooling used across development, validation, production and service

- Design and implement modular Qt-based desktop tooling (Qt Widgets/QML as applicable) in modern C++.

- Define and maintain application architecture patterns (e.g., MVC/MVVM), component boundaries, and plugin concepts where needed.

- Develop and maintain core services such as device communication layers, configuration engines, logging, and update mechanisms.

- Ensure good API design for internal tooling libraries (reusability, versioning strategy, backwards compatibility).

- Build features for live monitoring of appliance state, events and telemetry (graphs, timelines, filters, export).

- Implement diagnostic tools: fault code readout, self-test execution, log download/parsing, trace visualization.

- Design data storage concepts for tooling outputs (e.g., structured logs, database or file formats) and support data export/import.

- Build visualization components (charts, tables, tree views, signal explorers) for development monitoring

- Ensure high reliability in operations

- Implement testability: unit tests, integration tests (protocol simulation/mocks), and regression testing.

- Translate stakeholders into explicit requirements/user stories and propose pragmatic solutions.





- Align with embedded teams on interfaces (protocol definitions, data models, versioning).

- Support production/service rollouts: training, documentation, troubleshooting, and field feedback loops.

- Planning, monitoring and executing activities

- Ensuring high product quality across all development phases

- Acting as key interface between Liebherr locations in different countries

Roles:

- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Tooling Software Engineers

- Technical lead for software quality, maintainability, and performance within tooling modules and shared libraries.

- Cross-functional interface between embedded software, electronics, system engineering, test, production, and service teams.

- Mentor and sparring partner for developers; contributor to engineering guidelines and best practices.

- Act as a C++ coder in the QT-Framework surrounding

- Act as main interface to the LHG Tooling expert to drive the Tooling aspects within the Software department

- Plan and allocate resources based on project needs and priorities

- Ensure efficient execution of the different work packages

- Prioritize activities based on project conditions, requirements and changes

- Define and review concepts and specifications for the tooling intended to be created

- Provide transparent reporting to management on quality and risks

- Establish and monitor KPIs for quality and performance

- Support skill and competence development
