Job Purpose:
To ensure the health and safety of IndiGo employees and compliance with DGCA regulations by conducting medical checks, managing medical facilities, and responding to emergencies at the airport.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate degree in Nursing or Diploma in Midwifery
- Familiarity with DGCA regulations and CAR guidelines is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-flight and post-flight medical checks for crew as per DGCA and company guidelines.
- Administer and document pre-duty Breath Alcohol (BA) tests for ground staff.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all medical checks and BA tests for audit readiness.
- Ensure the upkeep, hygiene,
and functionality of the Medical Centre.
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies, equipment, and stationery.
- Initiate procurement processes for replenishment as needed.
- Provide first aid and emergency care to IndiGo employees and passengers.
- Respond to medical incidents and accidents within airport premises.
- Coordinate with airport emergency services when required.
- Replenish and certify First Aid Kits, Medical Kits, and Universal Precaution Kits.
- Ensure all kits are compliant with DGCA norms and within expiry.
- Ensure On-Time Performance (OTP).
- Track and report daily regulatory compliance.
- Assist in internal and DGCA audits and investigations.
- Ensure proper booking and documentation of all training activities.
- Reiterate Civil Aviation Requirements (CAR) provisions to fellow paramedics.
- Obtain and review METAR charts to avoid missed BA tests due to weather.
- Ensure all medical staff possess valid Airport Entry Permits (AEP).
- Ensure ambulance drivers have valid Airport Driving Permits (ADP) and vehicles have Airport Vehicle Permits (AVP).
