Job Description: Staff - Production Chlor Alkali Plant

Position: Staff - Production CAP (H2/Cl2 Filling)

Department: Production Chlor Alkali Plant

Designation: Junior Engineer/ Assistant Engineer

Experience: 3 - 6 years in Chlor-Alkali plant operations, with at least 2 years in hydrogen/chlorine bottling.

Location: Nagda, Madhya Pradesh

Qualification: Diploma (Chemical)

Key Responsibilities

- Strong Safety Orientation Must strictly follow safety procedures, permit systems, LOTO
- Knowledge of High-Pressure Systems Should understand high-pressure pipelines, compressors, cylinders and pressure regulators.
- Experience in Gas Filling Operations Prior experience in filling of H? high-pressure gas ( 150 to 200 kg/cm2) is highly preferred.
- Understanding of SOPs and Interlocks Should know standard operating procedures, safety interlocks, alarms, and emergency shutdown systems (ESD).
- Leak Detection Skills Should know how to detect hydrogen leaks using detectors, soap solution, or gas monitoring systems.
- Emergency Response Capability Trained in handling fire, gas leakage, emergency isolation, and evacuation procedures.




- Documentation and Reporting Able to maintain filling records, pressure logs, safety checklists, and deviation reports.
- Ensure safe and effective filling, handling, and dispatch of chlorine and hydrogen cylinders/Truck.
- Monitor and control bottling operations to meet production targets while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Optimize loading, unloading, and storage of chlorine and hydrogen to prevent losses and minimize downtime.
- Ensure proper maintenance of bottling equipment, compressors, and safety systems.
- Implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices to improve operational efficiency.
- Strictly enforce safety measures for chlorine & hydrogen handling to prevent leaks and hazardous incidents.
- Supervise and lead operators, technicians, and shift personnel to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Ensure chlorine and hydrogen purity levels meet industry standards and customer specifications.
- Experience in preparing Permits, maintaining logbook, excel sheet, SAP.
