Job Summary:

The NPPD Head is responsible for leading end-to-end new product development and procurement,

from concept generation to commercial launch. The role focuses on innovation, formulation

development, product improvement, packaging development, regulatory compliance, and cross functional collaboration to deliver high-quality products aligned with business objectives and market

trends.

Job Role/ Responsiblities

1. Develop and execute the New Product Development/ (NPPD) strategy aligned with business

goals.

2. Lead the end-to-end product development process from concept, formulation, pilot batches,

validation, and commercial launch.

3. Identify recent market opportunities through consumer insights, market research, and

competitor analysis.

4. Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Procurement, Production, QA, QC, and Regulatory teams

for successful product launches.

5. Oversee formulation development, product stability, compatibility, and shelf-life studies.

6. Ensure compliance with FSSAI, AYUSH, GMP, ISO, and other applicable regulatory standards.

7. Manage product costing, raw material selection, packaging development, and vendor

coordination.

8. Drive continuous product improvement, cost optimization, and innovation initiatives.

9. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, product specifications, SOPs, and

development reports.

10. Lead, mentor, and develop the NPD team while ensuring timely execution of projects.

11. Monitor project timelines,



budgets, and product launch schedules.

12. Present product development updates and innovation pipelines to senior management.

13. Mentor team members and establish capability development programs.

Education:

- Master's/Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Food Technology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Ayurvedic Medicine, or a related discipline.

Experience:

5+ years of experience in New Product Development/ procurement within

FMCG, Ayurvedic, Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics or Personal Care industries.

Proven track record of successfully launching multiple products in the

market.
