Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Regional Finance Controller to oversee revenue accounting, financial reporting, and cross-functional financial operations. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with accounting standards, driving process improvements, and collaborating with multiple business functions to support organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as a subject matter expert on revenue accounting and collaborate with Legal, Sales, Sales Operations, Business Finance, FP&A;, and Operations teams on revenue recognition policies and processes.
• Ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards, including US GAAP.
• Review regional revenue reporting and lead quarterly revenue recognition closing activities.
• Manage and drive weekly forecast meetings with Business Finance and Sales Operations teams; present insights to senior management.
• Analyze and interpret customer contracts to determine appropriate accounting treatment.
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline revenue and cost recognition workflows.
• Partner cross-functionally to establish best practices and improve financial controls.
• Take ownership of additional responsibilities and projects as required.
• Willingness to travel to African branch locations as required to support regional finance operations and stakeholder collaboration.
Desired Skills & Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of revenue recognition principles, preferably under US GAAP.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Solid business partnering ability with experience working across multiple functions and seniority levels.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interpret complex financial data and contracts.
• Proven track record of driving projects to successful completion.
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
Qualifications:
• Qualified CA/CMA.
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in finance, preferably in revenue accounting or controllership roles.
