Job Description

Supply Chain Management Lead PSS & Transmission Line PMC

The Supply Chain Management Lead PSS & Transmission Line PMC will support package-level supply chain monitoring, expediting, logistics visibility, and material delivery governance for Pooling Substation (PSS) and EHV/UHV Transmission Line projects. The role is responsible for tracking procurement, manufacturing, inspection, dispatch, logistics, and site delivery activities to ensure construction, testing, commissioning, and energization milestones are not impacted by material constraints.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Supply Chain Monitoring

- Track procurement, manufacturing, vendor progress, inspection activities, MDCC, IRN, dispatch, logistics, delivery, and site receipt status for PSS and transmission line materials.
- Monitor procurement schedules against approved project milestones, construction priorities, and charging requirements.
- Validate supply chain progress and identify risks impacting critical project execution activities.

Critical Equipment & Material Tracking

- Monitor long-lead and critical equipment including transformers, reactors, GIS/AIS equipment, switchgear, structures, towers, conductors, OPGW, insulators,



hardware fittings, protection systems, metering systems, SCADA equipment, and power cables.
- Track required-in office dates against approved delivery forecasts and construction workfront requirements.
- Support visibility of material availability for installation, testing, and energization readiness.

Expediting & Logistics Coordination

- Coordinate factual supply chain updates with contractors, vendors, manufacturers, inspection agencies, and logistics providers.
- Identify shortages, delayed deliveries, transportation issues, preservation concerns, damaged materials, and replacement risks.
- Monitor expediting actions and recovery plans for critical materials affecting project schedules.

Reporting & Governance

- Maintain procurement, MDCC, IRN, dispatch, logistics, and delivery trackers for package review.
- Prepare critical material shortage reports, expediting dashboards, and supply chain risk registers.
- Escalate unresolved supply constraints and delivery risks through PMC leadership to PMO SCM governance teams.

Qualifications

Education

- B.E. / B.Tech or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline.
- MBA / PG Diploma in Supply Chain Management preferred.

Experience

- 7-10 years of experience in procurement, expediting, logistics, supply chain management, or vendor coordination for EHV substations,



transmission lines, power infrastructure, renewable energy, or EPC projects.
- Experience in vendor inspection, MDCC management, IRN monitoring, logistics tracking, dispatch coordination, and material delivery management.
- Experience supporting large-scale electrical infrastructure or transmission projects preferred.

Certifications

- CSCP, CPIM, CPSM, or equivalent Supply Chain / Procurement certification preferred.
- Logistics and Procurement Management certification preferred.
- Training in MDCC, IRN processes, vendor inspections, expediting, and logistics coordination desirable.
