Key Responsibilities

- Own the end-to-end electricity-connection name-transfer process at BESCOM/ESCOM divisional offices (Karnataka) and MSEDCL/TPC-D/AEML circle offices (Maharashtra) converting the account from landlord/developer name to the tenant customer's name, which is a precondition for OA/GEOA application in most cases
- Prepare and file the complete transfer application packet per customer — lease deed, NOC from landlord, company KYC, board resolution/authorisation, prior consumption history — and track it through to approval
- Closely work with third-party vendors to close the conversions in a timely manner by understanding barrier points & supporting the vendor in overcoming the same.
- Manage relationship with local DISCOM Assistant Executive Engineers (AEE), Executive Engineers (EE) and sub-division/section offices — the officials who actually process transfers and meter orders
- Coordinate installation and commissioning of the mandatory ToD / Special Energy Meter (SEM) at each customer site — liaising with the DISCOM's metering wing or empanelled meter vendor/AMISP, tracking meter procurement lead time, and being physically present for installation and joint meter reading where required
- Where the connection itself needs to move from LT to HT, or sanctioned load needs enhancement to clear the 100 kW threshold, initiate and follow through that separate DISCOM application in parallel with the transfer
- Maintain a live, site-by-site tracker (shared with Sales, Solution Architects and Regulatory Lead) showing every customer's clearance status — application filed, site inspection done, transfer approved, meter ordered, meter installed,

commissioning certificate received — so Sales can set accurate customer expectations
- Escalate stuck files through the correct DISCOM escalation ladder (sub-division division circle corporate office / Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum where necessary) rather than letting a file sit un-actioned
- Build and maintain a personal working relationship with key DISCOM officials, meter vendors and empanelled electrical contractors/licensed wiremen in their state — this is a relationship-driven, not portal-driven, role
- Flag recurring bottlenecks (e.g. a specific division consistently slow on transfers) to the Regulatory Lead and VP Sales so systemic issues can be raised at a policy level rather than fought file-by-file
- Support the Solution Architect with any site-level technical documentation the DISCOM requires as part of the transfer or metering application
- Document SOP for meter ownership as well as meter type conversion & keep updating the same based on actual process discovered and followed during various conversions.

Must-Have Qualifications

- Graduates in any field with strong DISCOM/government-liaisoning experience will be preferred; Diploma in Electrical Engineering is a plus but not mandatory

- 2-5 years of hands-on experience directly liaisoning with DISCOM divisional/circle offices — as a licensed electrical contractor, an EPC site liaison officer, a real-estate/facilities liaison executive, or in a similar connection/metering-focused role
- Demonstrated track record of getting electricity connection transfers, load enhancements or new connections approved — not just "aware of the process" but has personally walked files through DISCOM offices
- Working knowledge of the specific state's DISCOM organisational structure (BESCOM's divisional/sub-divisional hierarchy in Karnataka; MSEDCL/TPC-D/AEML circle structure in Maharashtra) and the standard document checklist for name transfer and metering
- Comfortable with high-frequency, in-person government-office visits — this is not a desk job
- Local language fluency (Kannada for Karnataka; Marathi for Maharashtra) is a strong requirement, not just a preference, given the nature of counter-level interactions

Valuable-to-Have Qualifications

- Prior experience specifically with commercial/HT connections (as opposed to only residential/LT) — hospitals, hotels, malls, office parks
- Existing personal relationships with AEE/EE-level officials in the target division(s)
- Experience coordinating with empanelled meter vendors or AMISP agencies for ToD/smart meter rollout
- Prior stint at a solar EPC, C&I; developer, or facilities management firm in a similar connection-liaisoning capacity
- Familiarity with the GEOA 100 kW threshold rule and why connection ownership and meter type matter for OA eligibility (can be trained on this in onboarding if not already known)
