Job Role - Commissioning Engineer (Outsourced Staff)
Role & responsibilities
- Develop the Offsite Battery Limit (OSBL) configuration and utility generation schemes based on the utility summary issued by the process licensor.
- Evaluate utility generation alternatives based on CAPEX, OPEX, reliability, and efficiency.
- Interpret PFDs, P&IDs;, and Cause & Effect diagrams.
- Participate in HAZOPs and ensure timely closure of recommendations. 5. Provide technical support during plant commissioning, start-up, and operations.
- Coordinate vendor/sub-vendor inspections and participate in FATs.
- Plan and execute OSBL pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, including schedules, procedures, and check sheets.
- Participate in Pre-Start-up Safety Reviews (PSSR).
- Lead commissioning, start-up, and performance testing of utility plants and packages.
- Lead operations of the power plant, HRSG,
and associated utility packages, including operator training.
- Monitor energy efficiency, assess plant performance, and develop KPI reporting.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams, including PMC contractors, for protected and successful commissioning of OSBL facilities.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards and applicable HSE KPIs.
Preferred candidate profile
- Diploma/Bachelors degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in engineering, construction, and commissioning of Gas Turbines, Steam Turbine Generators, Boilers, HRSG systems, Water Treatment Facilities (e.g. ETP plant, RO plant, cooling water system etc.), Instrument air plant, and VAM.
