DevOps system Engineer Skill Set Required: Strong Experience Working on Linux Systems. Strong in Bash Scripting and command casting Strong in Docker Containers Should be robust in Deployment activities on to Linux systems. Monitoring tools - Grafana & Splunk is required Experience with Postman or Bruno is required. Experience on any ticketing tool required (Zendesk or Service now) Should have experience with GitHub Should support 24/7 rotational shift Experience with building dashboard and alerts is an advantage. Jira and Confluence is required Kubernetees is a plus Python is a plus Roles and responsibilities: • Provided proficient technical support for Point-of-Sale (POS) tills operating in a Linux environment, ensuring high system availability and minimal business disruption.



• Monitored and performed health checks on Docker containers and Kubernetes (k3s) clusters to identify and resolve infrastructure and application issues affecting Tesco tills. • Diagnosed and resolved issues by executing automated remediation through Jenkins pipelines and performing manual troubleshooting via Linux SSH when required. • Investigated deployment failures by analysing application and system logs, identifying root causes, and carrying out cleanup and recovery procedures on failed hosts. • Followed ITIL-based incident management processes to prioritize, investigate, and resolve incidents within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs). • Managed incident queues, handled escalations, and collaborated with team members to ensure timely resolution of complex technical issues. • Performed proactive monitoring and troubleshooting to maintain the stability, performance, and reliability of Linux-based retail infrastructure.
