The Sr. Financial Analyst plays a key role in supporting the finance organizations month-end close, reporting, and analysis processes. This role owns the assembly of our monthly close package and the loading of financial data into SmartView, working closely with our Insurance/Reinsurance, Premium, and Corporate Finance teams to ensure our numbers are accurate, timely, and audit ready. As this person ramps into the team, there may be opportunities to support additional financial analysis and reporting based on business needs and individual strengths.
This is also a role for someone comfortable using AI tools as part of their daily workflow, we expect this person to actively use Claude and similar tools to build efficiency into reporting, reconciliation, and analysis work, not just to produce it manually.
What You Will Do
- Own the assembly of the monthly close package, including consolidating inputs from multiple finance partners and building out the accompanying slide deck for leadership review.
- Load and validate financial data in SmartView (Oracle Hyperion) each close cycle, ensuring accuracy and consistency with source systems.
- Use AI tools to streamline recurring reporting tasks, catch errors before they reach leadership, and improve the speed and consistency of close deliverables.
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce manual, repetitive work in the close and reporting cycle.
- Communicate close status, data issues, and timelines clearly to finance stakeholders,
flagging risks early rather than at deadline.
- Support additional reporting, analysis, and process improvement initiatives based on business needs and team priorities.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in finance or accounting roles involving reporting, reconciliation, or close support. Insurance/PC industry exposure is a plus but not required.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) for real work analysis, drafting, reconciliation, or process automation. Leveraging AI tools as a part of day-to-day work is an expected aspect of the role.
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems; experience with SmartView, Hyperion, or similar consolidation tools is a strong plus.
- High attention to detail and a track record of accurate, dependable work under monthly deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills this role works directly with US-based stakeholders daily.
- Ability to work independently, flag issues proactively, and take ownership of a recurring deliverable without heavy oversight.
- Proven experience working with US based business teams.
- Excellent written and communication skills in English language.
- Working Hours: 8 Hours (Excluding breaks) with 4 Core US Hours Overlap (7:30pm - 11:30pm IST) and 4 flexible schedule (IST).
