The GST Specialist manages all internal indirect taxation processes, ensures timely and accurate statutory filings, maximizes legal Input Tax Credit (ITC) recovery, and maintains total compliance with government tax laws.

Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities:

- Return Filing: Prepare and file regular monthly and quarterly GST returns including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and annual returns like GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C.
- ITC Reconciliation: Reconcile purchase data with GSTR-2B to claim optimal Input Tax Credit without discrepancies.
- Invoice & Data Verification: Check vendor and supplier invoices for correct HSN/SAC codes, tax rates, and legal compliance parameters.
- Tax Computation: Calculate monthly net tax liabilities (CGST, SGST, IGST) accurately before payouts.
- Audit Support: Assist internal and external tax auditors by providing required financial reports, ledgers, and transaction trails.
- Refund: Filing necessary refund documents with the department and attend to their queries and get the refund successfully from department
- Notice Management:



Coordinate responses and documentation for scrutiny notices or queries raised by state or central tax departments.
- E-Way Bills: Monitor and manage smooth generation and verification of e-way bills for product movements.

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

Essential

- Education: Qualified CA/CMA.
- Experience: 2 to 3 years of hands-on corporate or CA-firm indirect taxation experience.
- Software Skills: Strong proficiency in SAP, alongside advanced Excel.
- Knowledge: Up-to-date awareness of current GST amendments, rules, and portal functionalities.
- Good written and oral communication is required.
