Role & responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Production Support Lead to support a critical Eligibility application that manages sensitive member demographic and client information. This application has a direct impact on customer business operations and requires high availability and stability.

With the upcoming 1/1 peak enrollment season, the application is expected to experience a significant increase in ticket volumes. Due to the criticality of the system and the absence of suitable internal profiles, this role needs to be fulfilled on a priority basis.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide end-to-end production support for Mainframe applications.
- Independently analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve Mainframe job abends.
- Handle incidents, service requests, and problem management using ITSM tools.
- Support and maintain batch and online applications during business-critical periods.
- Coordinate closely with onshore teams and clients to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Act as an offshore lead,



managing day-to-day activities and ensuring SLA adherence.
- Participate in incident bridges, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
- Proactively identify risks and recommend process or technical improvements.
- Mentor and groom junior team members to improve overall team capability.

Technical Skills (Mandatory)

- Mainframe Technologies:
- COBOL
- JCL
- DB2
- VSAM
- CICS
- SORT

- Strong hands-on experience in production support for critical applications.
- Ability to quickly understand application architecture and business flows.
