Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Department Manager Apparel & Fashion to manage the day-to-day operations of the apparel department, drive sales, maintain inventory accuracy, ensure excellent customer service, and lead the team towards achieving business targets.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Manage overall operations of the Apparel & Fashion department, ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day functioning.
- Drive sales and achieve department targets through effective planning, team management, and customer engagement.
- Manage inventory levels, including stock ordering, replenishment, stock transfers, and tracking deliveries.
- Ensure proper product availability, stock accuracy, and effective inventory control.
- Supervise and guide sales floor staff, ensuring adherence to customer service standards and performance expectations.
- Motivate and coach team members to achieve individual and department sales targets.
- Ensure effective Visual Merchandising (VM) standards, including product presentation, displays, mannequin styling, signage, and store appearance.
- Monitor customer preferences, fashion trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for improving product offerings and sales.
- Analyze sales performance, category-wise trends, fast/slow-moving products, and take corrective actions to improve business performance.
- Ensure proper execution of promotions,



offers, new launches, and seasonal merchandise.
- Handle customer queries and complaints effectively to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, sales reports, shrinkage, stock movement, and other operational activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, grooming standards, and safety guidelines.
- Coordinate with the Store Manager and other departments for smooth store operations.

Desired Candidate Profile

- 2–5 years of experience in apparel/fashion retail or a related field.
- Experience in women's wear, men's wear, kids' wear, or fashion retail will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of fashion styling, apparel categories, current fashion trends, and product presentation.
- Valuable understanding of sales, inventory management, visual merchandising, and retail operations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team towards achieving sales and operational targets.
- Customer-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skills.
- Good analytical skills to understand sales trends and take business decisions.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced retail workplace and in rotational shifts.
- Education: Any Graduate
