As we expand our product offerings and modernize our technology stack, we are reimagining how we deliver scalable, cloud-native solutions to our clients.

We are seeking a technically strong Software Development Engineer to contribute to the architecture, design, and development of our next-generation experimentation platform. In this role, you will work closely with other team members to help implement and evolve system designs, ensuring solutions meet high engineering standards. You will build and enhance scalable services, APIs, and analytical capabilities that power the platform, leveraging technologies such as Databricks and cloud platforms including AWS and Azure.

This role involves close collaboration with your immediate team as well as other development teams across programs to align on shared goals, contribute to cross-cutting initiatives, and deliver cohesive, enterprise-grade solutions. You will participate in design and code reviews, contribute to engineering best practices, and support operational excellence. You will work effectively across global time zones, contribute to a strong engineering culture, and continuously grow your technical skills while helping the team deliver reliable, high-quality software.

Our teams are small, agile, and empowered to choose the processes that work best for their goals. Every engineer contributes to the full development lifecycle-from ideation and design to implementation and testing-fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack applications across frontend, backend, APIs,

and data-processing layers using modern technologies such as Java/Spring Boot, TypeScript, and React.
- Develop and optimize data-intensive applications leveraging Databricks, Spark, and related platforms to efficiently process, transform, and serve data.
- Contribute to architecture and system design, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions aligned with engineering best practices.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, applying strong practices in testing, code reviews, and continuous improvement.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across services, APIs, data-processing workloads, and user experience.
- Build features that support data-driven decision-making for global customers through analytics and experimentation.
- Collaborate with Product, Data Engineers, QA, and other teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Mentor and support team members while contributing to a collaborative, growth-oriented engineering culture.
- Continuously learn and improve, staying current with technologies and driving enhancements in quality, scalability, and developer productivity.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a team-oriented, technically strong full-stack engineer who is passionate about building scalable, data-intensive software products and solving complex analytical problems. They are comfortable working across application, service, and data-processing layers and can contribute effectively in a fast-paced, agile engineering environment.

Ideal qualifications include:

- 3+ years of experience as a full-stack Software Engineer, with exposure to building applications using modern technologies such as Java/Spring Boot, TypeScript, and React.
- Experience or familiarity with Databricks, Spark, or PySpark is highly desired, particularly for working with data pipelines or analytics-driven applications.
- Foundational understanding of software engineering principles, including object-oriented programming, API design, and scalable system design, is preferred.
- Interest in working with data-intensive applications, including improving performance, scalability, and reliability across services and data-processing layers.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Curiosity, self-motivation, and a strong willingness to learn, with a growth mindset and interest in solving analytical, data-driven problems in an agile, fast-paced environment.
